The event begins at 10 a.m. Saturday at South Yuba Club’s Nevada City branch, and can be found at 555 Searls Ave. The event is said to last for four hours, but it could be extended if needed. Attendees have the opportunity to participate in free health and wellness presentations, demos, exercise classes, workshops. Of course, you can also avail of that free screenings offered by Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital.

Don’t know your body index? This would be a good deal for you since the event provides free Body Mass Index, blood pressure and heart rate testing. Brandy Kolmer, a communications specialist at the hospital. “It’s important to know your basic vital signs — when you know where you’re starting from, you can make the best plan to reach your goals,” Kolmer promised to host two workshops one at 11 a.m. and another at 2 p.m., wherein he would teach people about creating and following a good diet and exercise plan.
