|Some people may not like eating mushroom, but they can be considered as magical foods since they have lots of health benefits that include weight loss. Mushroom used as a medicinal and a food ingredient. Though, have mistake them for vegetables, they belong to the fungi family.
In general, there are two different types of mushroom, those that are edible and those that are non-edible. Back when my grandparents were still young, they used to pick mushrooms in the woods. They have to know the edible from the edible ones for the obvious reason, but, this is not a problem anymore since the edible mushrooms are all grown in dark rooms. We don’t need to fear of getting poisoned. All we need to do is to buy them at the nearest supermarkets.
Mushrooms have different flavors and can be used to a wide variety of dishes such as pasta, salads and soups. They improve the taste of any food they are used as ingredients.
Mushroom should be included in a diet for anyone wanting to lose weight. These fungi have few very low calories. Because they are very low in calories, people who want to lose weight can eat as many as they want.
Aside from being low in calorie, they are also fat-free, meaning that they are good for the heart.
Mushrooms are essential sources of riboflavin, niacin and selenium. Selenium is a protective nutrient, especially to men. Selenium is an anti-oxidant containing Vitamin E that cuts down the risk of prostate cancer. Other nutrients from these fungi are Vitamins C, B-6 and B-12 which are very essential in boosting your immune system.
