Well, to tell you the truth, I also believe in this saying since personal hygiene allows you to avoid illnesses and achieve social acceptance just from the mere practice of self grooming. So, if you want to keep looking good and presentable at any situation, practice healthy habits. These are tips that you should follow to live healthily.

Take daily baths or showers. This might be the most obvious hygiene tip, but some people neglect taking a bath daily. Remember that no one wants to have a body odor so take a bath daily. For some people, taking a bath once is not enough, they take a bath twice a day as they want to make sure that they refresh and clean most of the time.

Brush your teeth at thrice a day. My dentist told me once that brushing the teeth twice a day is enough to take care of our teeth, but brushing it twice will make us feel more comfortable whenever conversing with other people. Germs that build up in the mouth might cause some harm to your health later on your life. Regular brushing reduces the risk of bad breath. It also keeps the gums and teeth in top condition all the time.

Fingernails and toenails should always be trim. If you have the time, shave and wax it regularly. Pay attention to your own image by keeping your skin and hair healthy. Good grooming will not only make you more presentable, but also makes others feel comfortable around you.

Frequent deodorant or antiperspirant. It is easy to notice if other people have body odors, but it is hard to tell when you have it since you are already immune to your body odor. People perspire all the time, but it does not mean that it is alright to smell bad.

Get plenty of good sleep. Sleep helps the body to rejuvenate and heals itself naturally. One of the most important aspects of a healthy personal hygiene is a good sleep as reduces dark circles.
