Fitness Training is also known as ‘Poor Man’s Plastic Surgery’
|In general, no one wants to grow old, literary. Whoever wants to look older than they really are? Fitness training is the only way to slow the process of aging, sometimes it is referred to as the ‘fountain of youth’. With some even joking that exercise is the poor man’s plastic surgery. This is partially true as exercise can indeed improve the appearance of an individual.
As we grow older, our muscle shrinks (the technical term is atrophy). The only way to reverse the process is through strength training. Strength training can give you that full, toned, and youthful look. Strength training can come in many forms such as body weight exercises, traditional weight lifting, kettlebells, plyometrics, speed (sprint) training, or any combination thereof. The key thing here is to work all the major muscle groups in your body that include shoulders, chest, back, abdominals, and legs.
For example, hill sprints and burpees, just two exercises is a short and easy fitness routine that can be done without any machines. First things first, find a hill close to your house, must be between 50 to 100 metres in length. Run up the hill as fast as you can. The hill itself is a perfect spot to exercise as hill sprints allows you to use a full range of motion. Pull your knees high, lean into the hill, and pump your arms high and fast if you want to run up a hill at top speed. Once you reach the top walk back down at a brisk pace but not so fast as to be careless and injure yourself. When you reach the bottom of the hill do a set of 10 burpees. Now repeat, sprint up the hill as fast as you can, walk down at a brisk pace, then to 10 more burpees. Do this 5 times. It won’t take you 15 minutes to do but if you do this 4 times a week tehn you would be stronger than before.
Being strong also means looking good. Having the kind of butt and thighs that look incredible in a pair of jeans or in a bathing suit on the beach is what most people hope to achieve.
If you haven’t exercised in a while start your routine with walking up the hill and walking down. When you do the burpees do them in a slow and easy manner. When you reach the fourth week, start with jogging up the hill, walking back down, and start to speed up your burpees ever so slighting. Do this for 4 more weeks. After this time you should be ready to do this fitness routine at full speed.
Strength training is not complete as you also need to do cardio workouts to stay and feel young. Combine moderate paced cardio training such as jogging, swimming, or bike riding with your strength training routine. Cardio help in burning those fats off your body to reveal that strong, sexy body you will build with strength training.
