An old research in 1996 suggests that those people who eat more small meals throughout the day will lose more body fat. Researchers conducted a study, wherein the participant where grouped into two, the first group were told to eat two large meals a day and Group #2 ate 6 small meals daily. When the study got finished, group 2 lose more body fats compared to their counterpart in group 1 that ate two large meals in a day.
As people eat frequently; their metabolism works faster, which allows the body to use all the energy from food. Those who eat 2 large meals a day were giving signals to their body that there is a catastrophe coming, and the body needs to store body fat to survive and that is the reason why they got fatter.

If you want to lose weight, you need to eat 5-6 meals a day, which is equivalent to one meal every 3 hours. Eating more gives you the energy that you need for the day. If you have enough energy for the day, the body will not rest, therefore, burning all the energy in a day. Some people who think themselves as expert thinks that by eating less, their body will be forced to use the fat for energy, but it is the other way around. The truth is that the body uses the muscle tissue for energy, which slows down your metabolic rate.

That is the reason why most fad diet always fails. Most of the fad diets aim to lessen the calorie intake and this result to a slower metabolism. By decreasing the food intake, you are just going to even fatter.

Eating more should always be accompanied by exercises to stimulate your metabolism even more. Weight training is one of the best ways to build muscles that burn fat while resting.
