High-Intensity Workout is key to getting fit

Government claims around 30 minutes of exercise a day five times weekly is possible if it can be done within half the time. This is based on the study done by Perth’s Curtin University.

According to the new study, around 45 minutes of jogging has the same result of nine 60-second sprints followed by two minutes of recovery. The benefits that you could get from the same workout are just the same, but the later exercise is better since it is can be done with less time and the same result.

Researchers claimed that high intensity workout is the problem to lack of time to exercise.

Associate Professor Cecilie Thogersen-Ntoumani says that the benefits that you could get from the two form of exercise are just the same. It has been proven by numerous studies around the subject.

The study was conducted by 90 participants, wherein they were closely monitored. All of the participants are involved with either moderate-intensity training or high-intensity condition training, which lasted for 10 weeks.

In the research, both exercises have been proven to have the same benefit. Both groups were not working out prior to the study.

The first group did moderate exercise for 30 to 45 minutes five times a week while the other group were into three sessions a week for 25 minutes for those who are into high intensity workout. Professor Thogersen-Ntoumani claimed that they found that there was better adherence in those who did the high-intensity workout.

According to the professor, the research proves that you don’t need to spend too much time on exercise just to see results. But, the motivation behind it all is still a mystery.

There are a lot of reasons why people give up in their exercise program, but most of the time, it has something to do with the people’s motivation. Each of us has their level of motivation and sometimes, it shows in our determination to achieve something in life.

The only problem with high-intensity workout is that it is too grueling that people tend to give up before they can even see result.
