What is Core Training?
Core Training are a series of exercises targeting the core muscles, which has gained popularity from in recent years because of the guys and girl displaying their six pack abs. Sad to say, the same popularity also gives way to some of the core training myths that many believe in today.
Here are the top 5 myths about Core Training:
- Crunches are all you need. Those crunches will definitely help you burn fat, but after a day you will experience pain, which will result to poor performance. There will also be low back pain if you perform crunches at an excessive rate.
- Abs workout helps you gain leaner and tighter midsection. If you want those layers of fats remove from your stomach, your best bet will be nutrition. There is no way that you can melt that fat with just pure core exercises.
- The abs should have their workout routine. Though, those workouts that are concentrated on the abs are great for strengthening the abs, you don’t need to perform workouts that are only designed for the abs. 2 sets of sits up, 2 sets of leg raise and 50 seconds of flank are enough to exercise the abs.
- Back pains are just fine during an exercise routine. Though, there is an old saying on the gym “ NO PAIN, NO GAIN “, please remember that our lower back supports the skeletal frame. If it gets damage, we are going to be bed-ridden.
- Equipments are a must to train your core. There are so many exercise that you can do to exercise your core muscles without using equipments. This myth was made because manufacturers want to sell their products.
